A neighbour of Charlie Sheen has been arrested after she allegedly broke into the actor’s Malibu home and assaulted him with a weapon.
Police were called out to Sheen’s home in the beach city near Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon and identified the star as the victim of an assault, Fox News reported.
Neighbour Electra Schrock, 47, was arrested at the scene and taken into custody.
“The suspect, Electra Schrock, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, force likely to create great bodily injury…and residential burglary,” the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
According to reports, Ms Schrock forced her way into the actor’s home after he opened the door to her. She then allegedly ripped his shirt and tried to strangle him.
Paramedics were called to the scene but Sheen, 58, was not taken to hospital.
The arrest allegedly follows a simmering dispute between Sheen and Ms Schrock in which he accused her of squirting a sticky liquid on to his car, according to US outlet TMZ.

Ms Schrock lives in an apartment on the same street as Sheen. Earlier this year she pleaded no contest to a charge of misdemeanour elder abuse.
