Neighbours have said that Ms Rayner’s eldest son, Ryan Batty, moved into the newly created bedroom in the loft and lived there, with the rest of the family, until the house was sold in 2016.
Sylvia Hampson, 83, recalled Ms Rayner living there with her husband and her three children “full-time from about 2009 or 2010”.
She said she remembered Ryan “banging away like buggery on his drums that much that it drove me to tears”.
Another neighbour, who did not wish to be named, confirmed that Ryan moved into the top bedroom “around 2009” and said Ms Rayner lived there from about the same time.
Ryan is registered on the electoral register at the property from 2014-15. Ms Rayner’s brother, Darren Bowen, is listed on the roll as being there from 2010-2014.
Neighbours have previously claimed that Mr Bowen was in fact living at the Vicarage Road property during that time.
Another neighbour has also claimed that Ms Rayner got into a row over parking at her husband’s property on Lowndes Lane.
One resident on the street, who did not wish to be named, told the Telegraph: “Angela Rayner definitely lived there with Mark. I didn’t have any problems or dealings with her but I know I know her next-door-neighbour did with the shared driveway.
“The neighbours owned the shared access to the back of the houses, which Angela and Mark had the right to use it.
“They had a few run-ins over that. The alleyway was at the side of the houses and I think there were issues over blocking it and parking in front of it.
“That’s the problem of having a shared drive, I suppose. I know it caused a lot of problems.”
