Police are at the scene of a serious incident in Whitefield. Greater Manchester Police vehicles have been pictured on Radcliffe New Road, near the junction with Bury New Road, this afternoon (Saturday).
A GMP spokesman said they are responding to a concern for welfare, with a man injured.
They said: “At around 11am today we received a report around the concern for the welfare of a man on Radcliffe New Road in Bury. We attended along with other emergency services, and he is currently receiving treatment. The extent of the injuries suffered are not known at this time, but our officers are confident it is an isolated incident with no wider threat or risk to the public.”
Images are circulating on social media, with a number of emergency services vehicles seen on the road.
