Si King has issued a touching message to the thousands of Hairy Bikers fans who took part in a memorial ride for the late Dave Myers.
Myers died back in February following a battle with cancer, prompting swathes of tributes from famous faces and an emotional farewell in his final ever Hairy Bikers episode on the BBC.
On Sunday, fans continued to honour Myers as around 6,000 took to the road on their motorbikes to raise money for cancer research.
The ride began in the East Yorkshire town of Beverley and went up the coast toward Whitby and Scarborough.
After witnessing the vast number of bikers turn out in memory of Myers, fellow Hairy Biker King took to social media with a message.
In a post on Instagram, it read: “A message to all the riders taking part in today’s Memorial Ride Out for Dave Myers, ‘I hope the ride out goes well for you all.’

“‘Many many thanks for remembering Dave in this way. He would have loved it. Dave’s family, friends and I are really touched’.”
King signed off the heartfelt statement with the words: “‘Love to you all, be safe’.”
The generous idea stemmed from Hairy Bikers fan Sean Martin, a member of Bikers Escorts East Yorkshire.
He explained how he came up with the idea, saying [via BBC News]: “We just wanted to say thank you for everything he’s done, as a ambassador for motorcyclists up and down the country.
“They’ve been really good to the motorcycle community, so it’s our way of saying thank you to him.
“It really does put a lump in your throat when you hear all the bikes pulling away. It makes all the hairs on the back of your neck stand. It’s an incredible turnout.”
Meanwhile, several other fans were keen to show their appreciation for King’s kind words on the social media post, applauding the bikers taking part.
Heaping praise on the turnout as well as Myers himself, one fan penned: “Amazing tribute for an amazing person.”
