The Duke of Sussex has spoken with the King about his cancer diagnosis and will travel to the UK to see him in the coming days, a source close to Harry said.
The King has started treatment today, a Buckingham Palace statement says.
The palace has not confirmed what type of cancer the 75-year-old monarch has.

Relations between the monarch and his younger son have been strained for some time.
The Duke of Sussex upset his father and the royal household with disclosures made last year in his book, Spare, in which he was scathing of his family.
After which, he was asked to leave Frogmore Cottage close to Windsor Castle, which was seen as a major rebuke by Charles to his son, who moved to the US in 2020.
Harry and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, have also aired their grievances about their alleged treatment in a Netflix series.
In March, despite speculation to the contrary, the couple were invited to the King’s coronation, seen as the monarch offering an olive branch.
Harry attended, but his wife chose not to attend and remained at home in California with the couple’s children, four-year-old Archie and Lilibet, who is two.
