Meghan Markle’s podcast ‘pushed back’ as company ‘struggles to get started’

Meghan Markle’s podcast has been “pushed back” as the company struggles to get started.

In February, the Duchess of Sussex announced a new podcast deal with the Lemonada team to continue her “love of podcasting.”

According to Mail Online’s diary editor, the “smaller podcast company is struggling to get off the starting blocks.”

Eden explained that the company does not want the launch of the podcast to be overshadowed by the duchess’s new television series.

Harry and Meghan are releasing two new Netflix series as part of their $100 million five-year deal with the streaming giant.

Meghan’s series, which began filming at a rented house in Montecito last week, will show the “joys of cooking and gardening, entertaining and friendship.”

Meanwhile, Harry’s series will follow the professional world of polo, a sport that the prince has played most of his life.

It is understood that Lemonada is concerned about “scheduling conflicts” between the launch of the podcast and Meghan’s new lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard.

In March, the Duchess of Sussex also launched a new luxury lifestyle brand with an accompanying website and Instagram page.

Meghan’s spokesperson denied to comment, however, sources have claimed that Meghan had a list of “very high-profile guests” scheduled for her new podcast.

In Meghan’s previous podcast, she spoke with celebrities like Mariah Carey, Mindy Kaling and Pamela Adlon before the series was dropped.

When Meghan announced her new deal she stated: “Being able to support a female-founded company with a roster of thought-provoking and highly entertaining podcasts is a fantastic way to kick off 2024.

“Our plan to re-release Archetypes so that more people can now have access to it, as well as launching a dynamic new podcast is well in the works.”

The original “Archetypes” saw over 10 million downloads, and averaged almost a million listens per episode.
