Insane six-wheeler ‘Hellcat’ Humvee with V8 engine, F1-style wings and more than 700 horsepower goes up for sale

AN EXCITING six-wheeled and ex-military motor with supercharged V8 power has gone to auction.

The heavily-modified 2009 AM General Humvee car was built by Danton Arts Kustoms and Frenchy Export LLC.

It is a genuine Humvee military vehicle upgraded to have six wheels, all powered and off-road-inspired, with other modifications including lowered suspension, large alloy wheels, and low-profile tyres.

A supercharged 6.2-litre V8 engine with 717 horsepower – usually found in Dodge Hellcat muscle cars – has also been mounted in the centre of the vehicle, ahead of the middle axle, rather than under the bonnet where a 6.5-litre turbo diesel V8 engine is usually.

The car – so unique it’s bound to stop traffic – also features a custom steel bumper, a new metal diffuser at its rear, and a tall spoiler made from aircraft parts.

Its roof has been lowered and its cabin shortened to create a more “refined” look, leaving space for just two occupants to fit in metal bucket seats – as well as a digital instrument cluster and a sports steering wheel.

Users of the vehicle will be able to use their smartphones to control features such as its start, lights, horn, and turn signals.

The body of the car was handcrafted using aluminium and metal and its exterior and parts of its interior coated in matte green paint, in keeping with its military background.

Other parts of the interior are gunmetal in colour.

The one-of-a-kind Humvee is going under the hammer at a Barrett-Jackson event in Scottsdale, Arizona today, alongside a 1997 Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster reportedly once owned by ex-US President Donald Trump.

The American politician is thought to have owned the motor until the summer of 2002.

It was one of 132 models produced for the US market between 1997 and 1999, according to Barrett-Jackson.

Trump’s former car is understood to have been modified with features custom to his preferences and even features a plaque on its door inscribed with the words “Donald Trump 1997 Diablo”.

Hopeful buyers can now bid online for the heavily-modified Humvee before the auction ends later today.

Collector car auction company Barrett-Jackson has not listed a price estimate, but a much less modified 2009 AM General Humvee was last year sold at auction for $75,000 (£59,000).
