Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell accepted the Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media during the 66th Annual Grammy Awards pre telecast, which took place in Los Angeles on Sunday.

The 22-year-old singer and her 26-year-old brother and frequent collaborator appeared to be elated about having won the award, and they flashed smiles while accepting the award.

The Bad Guy singer – who recently opened up about being ‘attracted’ to women – wore an oversized white button-up shirt and a pair of wide-legged black pants during the ceremony.

Eilish also donned pink socks and black high-heeled shoes, and she accessorized with several pieces of jewelry.

The hitmaker’s partially-dyed red hair added a bit of extra pop to her look for the star-studded event.

O’Connell opted for a patterned black hoodie that was paired with a matching shirt and pair of pants.

The pair took home their Grammy for their work on the track What Was I Made For?, which was featured on the soundtrack for the 2023 fantasy-comedy feature Barbie.

The track, which was included on the movie’s soundtrack album Barbie The Album, was released as a single this past July.

What Was I Made For? performed well with listeners, and it peaked at number 14 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The song was also met with widespread critical acclaim, and it was included on numerous publications’ year-end lists.

In addition to Best Song Written for Visual Media, Eilish and O’Connell have been put up for several other Grammy Awards for their work on the track, including both Record and Song of the Year.

The singer opened up about working on the track during an interview with Zane Lowe for Apple 1, where she admitted that she initially set out to create a song that only took inspiration from Barbie.

‘I did not think about myself once in the writing process. I was purely inspired by this movie and this character and the way I thought she would feel, and wrote about that,’ she said.

However, Eilish then admitted that the song ended up becoming a more personal project than she initially realized.

‘I do this thing where I make stuff that I don’t even know is…like I’m writing for myself and I don’t even know it,’ she said.

The hitmaker added: ‘The next week I was playing it in the car all day and playing it for everybody. And I was like, “This is exactly how I feel. And I didn’t even mean to be saying it.”‘

‘It was truly the trippiest thing I’ve ever experienced in my life. I was like, oh, I absolutely was writing about myself, but I was thinking about myself from a third person,’ she stated.
