Steven Sansom, 44, and Gemma Watts, 48, have been charged with murdering Sarah three weeks earlier.

The pair, who are also charged with prevention of the lawful and decent burial of a body, appeared at the Old Bailey today.

Prosecutor Tom Little KC confirmed some of Sarah’s remains still have not been located.

He added: “There is quite a significant ongoing investigation in relation to the whereabouts of the entirety of the deceased’s body on the basis the deceased’s body was certainly cut up into a number of parts with the use of power tools.”

The pair were remanded into custody ahead of a plea hearing on June 27.

Sansom is also charged with three counts of making indecent images of a child.

Detective Inspector Martin Thorpe said previously: “My thoughts are with Sarah’s family as they deal with this heartbreaking news.

“No family should have to lose a loved one in such tragic circumstances, and we will continue to provide our support as our investigation progresses.

“The two people in custody were known to Sarah and at present we are not looking for anyone else in connection with her death.”
