Rick Astley is set to hit screens across the county as he features in the Royal Variety Show this Sunday.
He will be joining a star-studded roster, with the likes of Cher, Hannah Waddingham and Paloma Faith gracing the stage.
Royalty will even be in attendance, with both the Prince and Princess of Wales seated in the crowd next to the Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden.
The 80s pop star has made a monuments comeback since his retirement from music in 2003, from appearing on the Glastonbury stage in 2023 to his hit record 50.

Who is Rick Astley’s wife, Lene Bausager?
Lene Bausager is a well known film and video producer.
She has worked on various projects including the 2006 film Cashback, The Broken, which featured Lena Headey and Michelle Duncan, as well as Ginger and Rosa (2012).
Lene has worked with pop icon Madonna on her 2005 hit track Hung Up and her own husband’s track She Makes Me.
The Never Gonna Give You Up singer first met Lene at the age of 21, while she was a promoter RCA – the same music label he was signed to.
In a conversation with Sydney Morning Herald, he confessed that he fell in love with the producer as soon as he locked eyes on her.
He said: ‘I fell in love with her the day I met her. I did get to see her briefly again a few weeks later in London, then a year after that over a cup of tea while on tour in Denmark.
‘We started writing to each other and I’d rack up some big phone bills calling her from all over the world.’
The lovebirds didn’t become an official couple until 1989, after the musician travelled home following a tour in Japan.
Since then, the couple have firmly remained together, throughout several tours, singles as well as Rick’s creative direction change in the 90s.

How many children do Rick Astley and Lene have?
The couple share one daughter called Emilie, 31, who has opted to pursue a career out of the spotlight unlike her shoqbiz parents.
According to The Mirror, Emilie resides in Denmark and is a landscape gardener.
Regarding his ‘go-getter’ daughter, Rick Astley told the Sydney Morning Herald that both he and his wife were proud of her accomplishments.
He also revealed a cute tradition that he and his daughter share when she comes home to visit.
He told The Times: ‘Any Sunday afternoon, if she’s back, we put the kettle on and sing along to My Fair Lady.’
The crooner also divulged that it was Emilie who encouraged the pair to get married after 27 years.
In an interview with The Sun, Rick confessed that he and Lene had been engaged for 15 years, but their busy schedules meant they didn’t tie the knot until 2016.
He said: ‘Our daughter was visiting because she lives in Copenhagen and the three of us were in the living room. She said, “Are you going to get married or what?” And we went, “OK, let’s do it!”‘
Rick added: ‘So we just got married in the register office. We just thought, “Well, she is only home for a few weeks so let’s do it.” We didn’t tell anybody.’
According to The Mirror, the stable couple resided in the same home in Surrey for several years.
Although their house isn’t flashy for a pop star and producer, according to the singer.
In an interview with The Times, he revealed :’You wouldn’t pull up outside my house and say, ‘Oh my God, some 1980s pop star lives there.’

How did Lene Bausager save Rick Astley’s career?
In 1993, Rick Astley retired from music at the young age of 27.
But the musician has made a comeback in recent years, gracing the Glastonbury stage in 2023, covering The Smiths, AC/DC and Harry Styles.
He attributes his success and achieving his dreams over the last few years to his wife, Lene, who became his manager a few years ago.
In 2016, his album celebrating his 50th birthday, aptly named 50 hit supermarket shelves, zooming all the way up to number one spot on the UK charts.
Rick said he only had the ‘confidence’ to even get into the recording booth because of Lene.
In 2018, he told the BBC: ‘She probably had more belief in 50 than I did, to be honest.
‘She produces movies and she can see a path from a script to actually getting a movie on a screen – and she’s done that with the music.
