Two charged with attempted murder after men shot and stabbed in Oldham

Two suspects have been charged with attempted murder after one man was reportedly shot and another was stabbed in an incident in Oldham.

Officers were called to the scene of the incident on Busk Road in the Chadderton area on Wednesday evening (May 22). Police were called to the street after a man suffered ‘serious knife wounds’.



Another man attended A&E at the Royal Oldham Hospital with gunshot wounds, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said. Two men have now been charged in connection with the incident.

Stephen Wilson, 28, of Salford, and Jordan Aston, 33, of no fixed abode, have both been charged with attempted murder. They have also been charged on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon.

Both Wilson and Aston have been remanded into custody. They were due to appear at Manchester Magistrates’ Court this morning (May 27).
