Teenage shoplifter banned from dozens of stores in Greater Manchester including every B&M, Aldi and Ann Summers

A teenage shoplifter has been banned from dozens of stores across Greater Manchester – including every Aldi, B&M and Ann Summers. Kelsey Atwell, 19, is also barred from Boots, JD Sports, Matalan and her local corner shop, among several others.

She faces arrest and possibly jail if she enters any of the shops. It comes after she was slapped with a three year Criminal Behaviour Order at Tameside magistrates court having been charged with a string of thefts.

Atwell, of Lancashire Hill, Reddish, was also given a 12 week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months.

The order, which runs until April 2027, bans her from entering the following stores within Greater Manchester: Asda; The Range; One Below; Best One; Boots; B&M; Co-Op; JD Sports; Matalan; Game; Aldi; Hobbycraft; The Works; Ann Summers; Home Bargains and Green Lane Convenience Store.

Pc Shaughnessy, who secured the order, said: “Prolific offenders need to start realising that if you commit crime in our town, you will be caught and you will be put before the courts. The Central Neighbourhood Team know who you are, and we will always look to get court orders where appropriate.

If you breach these orders, we will find out, and you will be arrested again. We work extremely closely with retailers throughout the town centre, they have all been advised that Ms Atwell cannot enter their stores for the next three years.

“My message to Ms Atwell is this – we will be watching. Those who are issued with Criminal Behaviour Orders should start to think twice about their actions.”
