Teen darts star Luke Littler nukes a steak at Belfast restaurant

Luke chose a signature steak for his meal in Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter alongside his father during his time in Belfast.

The teenage darts star is in Belfast for the return of Premier League Darts, with Night Nine taking place on Thursday evening.

The 17-year-old went viral in January after his meteoric rise at the World Darts Championship when he was just 16, reaching the final only to lose to Luke Humphries at Alexandra Palace.

After Luke’s visit to the restaurant at St Anne’s Square in the city, Top Blade shared a social media post with pictures of the famous visitor enjoying his meal and meeting fans.

They said: “What an absolute pleasure having DARTS BIGGEST STAR [Luke Littler] in with us tonight. We had some laugh. What an amazing young man with the biggest future ahead.”

They added: “Onwards and upwards the sky’s the limit for him. Looking forward to watching you live tomorrow evening.”

Luke, known as ‘The Nuke’, was also pictured with Top Blade manager Gavin Kirk and a young fan.

The teenager is famously a fan of kebabs and fast food but it was revealed last month he had ditched his old diet in a bid to protect his career.

He said in an interview with The Times he relied on fast food as it was all that was available when he would finish competing in the early hours.

“It’s just about looking after yourself on tour. Soon as I got my tour card, my manager [Martin Foulds of ZXF Sports Management] sat me down and said when you finish it could be 11 or 12, it’s literally all fast food, burgers or whatever,” he said.

“So I’ve got to look after myself, eat before I play. And when I’ve finished, even if I stay up to whenever, I just won’t eat. This is my new way of living. I love darts, and it’s going to be like this for ten, fifteen years.”

Top Blade is a frequent pick for famous visitors to the city.

The restaurant recently welcomed stars from Busted ahead of their gig in the city late last year.
