‘Take him OFF air!’ Calls to SACK ‘biased’ BBC presenter ‘dripping with CONTEMPT’ for ordinary Brits

BBC Radio 5 host Nihal Arthanayake should be “taken off air” due to his “biased” reporting, according to Daily Telegraph columnist Allison Pearson.

The BBC Presenter seemingly breached the impartiality rules of the broadcaster in December when he said that an “overwhelmingly white” working environment is affecting his mental health.

GB News host Patrick Christys now believes that it has happened again when he invited hard-left politician Nish Kumar on his show and “mocked the impartiality guidelines.”

Speaking on BBC radio Nihal said to Kumar: “Good news, bad news. The good news is that it is a symbol of an evolving British society, one that is more accepting of people from ethnic minorities, that there is an Asian prime minister.

Bhogal and Pearson raged over the comments

“I think you know what the bad news is for you personally, coming from where you come from, it just happens to be Rishi Sunak.

“So how did you deal with this good news, bad news moment in your life? I, of course, have no opinion on it. But in your life.”

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS

On GB News Daily Telegraph columnist Allison Pearson argued that he should be removed from the station for these comments.

She said: “I think they should take him off air. I mean, listen to the way they were mocking the impartiality. I’m not sure if Nihal has twigged that a lot of white people pay the licence fee. They pay his salary. He’s dripping with contempt for ordinary people.”

Founding Chairman of Global Britain UK, Aman Bhogal said: “People like Nehal they have form for this. The BBC continues to not just employ them, but bring in more people like that. For example, the new BBC verify service recently was infested with Al Jazeera.

“I mean, that alone, I think it draws the whole thing into big question. Let’s not forget the BBC brand itself is now so damaged

“I mean, there was a time that the BBC brand around the world was so respected. It was taken as gospel in terms of news reporting.

“But you look around today, around the world, the BBC is no longer a trusted source. Something has to change.”

Matthew Laza argued that he “is a good journalist”

However former Labour Party advisor Matthew Laza argued: “I think on air, as you heard in the clip, he acknowledged that he may have been joking.

“Maybe the joke wasn’t very funny, but I think he’s a good journalist. The tweets went too far. I think somebody needs to have a word with him about the tweets and tell him that he needs to abide by the guidelines.

“I do think that he’s an interesting voice to have on the BBC. I’m a big defender of the BBC.

“I mean, some missteps have been made, but I’m a big defender of the BBC’s role. I think it’s central to our national character, and I think it’s essential to our national prestige.”

GB News has contacted representatives for both Nihal Arthanayake and the BBC for comment.
