Six suspects named in Rochdale child exploitation probe

Six men have been charged in connection with an investigation into child exploitation in Rochdale.

Officers carried out dawn raids across the town on Wednesday (April 25) as part of the crackdown. They carried out warrants at eight properties.



Six males have since been charged as part of the investigation into child exploitation. All suspects have been charged with two counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, one count of being concerned in the supply of class B drugs and four counts of modern slavery charges, Greater Manchester Police said.

The males are: Azaad Ali, 26, of Falinge Road, Rochdale, Harris Ali, 19, of Edmund Street, Rochdale, Aadam Ali Sajjad, 18, of Albert Royds Street, Rochdale, Abdullah Talib, 19, of Chamber House Drive, Rochdale, Subhan Khan, 18, of Millfield Grove, Rochdale, and Zain Abbas, 18, of Falinge Road, Rochdale.

They have all been remanded into custody. They are due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court today, a GMP spokesperson added.
