Sarah Jayne Dunn says she knows which Hollyoaks co-star got her fired by complaining about her OnlyFans and claims soap bosses have now banned actors from joining platform

Sarah Jayne Dunn has revealed she was fired from Hollyoaks after one of her co-stars filed a complaint and says she believes she knows who it was.

The actress-turned-OnlyFans-model, 42, shot to fame on the Channel 4 soap where she played Mandy Richardson for 25 years.

However, she was famously axed from the show in 2021 after she refused to give up her lucrative OnlyFans career.

OnlyFans is an internet subscription service used primarily by sex workers who produce X-rated content.

Speaking about her firing, Sarah has now said that it was triggered by one of her co-stars logging a formal complaint about her daring content.

Speaking to The Sun, she said: ‘Apparently there is one person who complained. I think I know who that is now, I have my suspicions for sure.’

She said while she got on with most people on the soap, there were a couple that she didn’t, adding ‘a lot of that boils down to their own insecurities and jealousies.’

Sarah also claimed that several other soap stars have reached out to her for advice on how to follow in her footsteps and join OnlyFans, but that bosses have changed their actors’ contracts to prevent them signing up to the lucrative platform.

She said: ‘I know that what happened with all of the soaps is that they had to all sign a new copy of the contract, saying that they wouldn’t do it, that they couldn’t do it.

‘Everyone would have left if they didn’t. I think people are curious but people can’t take that step.’

Speaking about her decision to stick with OnlyFans, Sarah insisted she had no regrets, saying: ‘I never doubted my decision once I made it, the complete opposite actually. I got fire in my belly.’

It has been reported that she has made upwards of £700,000 on the platform, almost six times what she made at the height of her Hollyoaks career.

While Sarah refused to put an exact number on her earning, she admitted that it ‘exceeded all expectations’ and revealed: ‘I think my second month on the platform was better than a year on Hollyoaks.’

She pointed out that she isn’t doing anything different to what she did while on the show, limiting her content to lingerie pictures and refusing to venture into X-rated content.

She explained she has the full support of her husband of six years, Jonathan Smith, and the couple had talked about her ‘limitations and boundaries’ when she first joined.

Sarah argued that her content was just like typical modelling shots and said she compares it to ‘the lads’ mags of the Nineties and Noughties — Maxim and FHM.’

She says that joining OnlyFans was the ‘best decision of my life’ and allows her to be financially free as well as work to her own schedule, allowing her more time with her family and ability to go on holidays.

She added: ‘I have my own voice and I’m not being filtered in any way or not being able to say something as it doesn’t go with what the channel thinks.

‘It’s nice to be able to go, “Actually this is me and this is what I think” — and if it I want to say “f***”, I can.’

Speaking about how long she intends to stay on the platform, Sarah previously admitted she will probably give up OnlyFans once her son Stanley, 7, gets older.

At the time, she said: ‘One of the biggest things that’s come out of me doing OnlyFans is like, when you’re a mum, you know, you “can’t do that”.’

‘I’m really good mum. Surely the important thing is that he’s loved and he’s happy and that he’s fed?

‘And he’s still only six [now seven] years old. So for me, I will at some point probably get to that stage and go “okay, right. Maybe it’s time to call it a day”.

‘When Stan maybe is about to start high school or something like that. Luckily, for now, he’s in a gorgeous school with gorgeous parents and gorgeous kids. Everyone knows and it’s okay’.
