Samsung Galaxy A35 finally gets a modern screen design

Although most people are excited about the Galaxy S24, which will be launched in January, that isn’t the only phone Samsung is working on. Some affordable and mid-range Galaxy devices will be launched in the coming months, including the Galaxy A15, Galaxy A25, and Galaxy A35. Now, the design of the Galaxy A35 has been revealed for the first time.

The renders of the Galaxy A35 have been published by MySmartPrice. They’ve been created by leakster OnLeaks using the phone’s 3D measurements. The upcoming mid-range smartphone reportedly measures 161.6 x 77.9 x 8.2mm. Its side frame has a slight bump near the power and volume buttons, similar to the one we’ve seen on leaked renders of the Galaxy A15 and the Galaxy A25.

More importantly, the phone has a punch-hole-shaped cutout in its display to accommodate the front-facing camera. This is an upgrade compared to the Galaxy A34’s U-shaped display cutout, which looks quite dated.

The report claims that the Galaxy A35 has a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED screen. It likely features Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Since the phone doesn’t seem to have a side-mounted fingerprint reader, we expect the phone to feature an in-display fingerprint reader. The phone could come equipped with the Exynos 1480 processor with an AMD RDNA2-based GPU, 8GB RAM, and 128GB storage. It could run Android 14-based One UI 6 out of the box.

The phone’s SIM card tray (which could also have a microSD card slot) is at the top, while the primary loudspeaker and USB Type-C port are at the bottom. On the rear, the phone has a triple-camera setup. According to previous leaks, the Galaxy A35 has a 50MP primary rear camera and a 13MP selfie camera. The other cameras could include an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 5MP macro camera. The phone may be able to record 4K videos.
