Royal Family LIVE: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle rebrand ‘being rejected by the world’ | Royal | News

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s rebrand has been “rejected by the world”, it has been claimed as royal commentators discuss how the pair’s reboot has gone down globally. The Sussexes have rejuvenated their brand, with the launch of a brand-new website – sussex.com – earlier this month.

The website, which links back to their other websites such as the ones associated with Archewell, will highlight and lay out their current work and any personal updates. It has been suggested that this is the couple’s fourth rebrand since they got married in 2018.

After being asked how people, especially those in the UK, are taking the rebrand, royal commentor Josh Rom told Sky News Australia that it is being seen for “exactly what it is”.

Mr Rom said: “The ‘grifter’ word comes to mind with this because this is them trying to keep in with this institution in some way, shape or form.

“Let’s be honest, that’s the only way in which they’re going to retain relevancy and, you know, the only reason why people pay them any sort of attention is because of the role which this institution provided for them.”

This segment was broadcast on Sky News Austrailia with the title Why the World is Rejecting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s rebrand. The programme featured a series of commentators who delved into where the Sussexes are – and what the future has in store for them.

Alongside their new website, it was also revealed that Meghan had signed a new podcast deal with Lemonada Media.

Speaking of the couple’s former deal with Spotify, writer and broadcaster Esther Krakue claimed that the fact the company cancelled their “whole deal” is “quite selling”.

Noting Meghan’s first podcast Archetypes, which was released under Spotify, Ms Krakue added: “If you can’t really sell yourself, which is effectively [the] only unique selling point, what really do you have to sell.”
