Princess Kate is “in a very different position” to King Charles as she continues to recover from her cancer treatment, a royal source has claimed.
The Princess of Wales announced in March that she had undergone preventative chemotherapy after cancer was found in tests following a significant abdominal surgery earlier this year.
Princess Kate revealed her diagnosis in a video message released on March 22nd.
The royal confirmed that she would not be undertaking public duties for the foreseeable future to focus on her health.

King Charles returned to public-facing duties last month and has undertaken multiple royal engagements in May.
An insider close to the royals claimed that the Princess of Wales will delay making decisions such as staff appointments while she recovers.
The source told the Mail: “No one wants to put any pressure on Catherine.
“The only thing that matters at the moment is her getting better. She has been through an ordeal this year.

“What this means in practice is that big decisions, such as the appointment of new staff, can wait.
“It’s a reflection of Her Royal Highness’s importance to the future of the Monarchy that she has been given as much time as she needs.”
They added: “As Sovereign, His Majesty is in a very different position from the Princess of Wales.
“There is no need for her to be seen while she’s recovering.”

Despite not returning to work, Princess Kate is fully up-to-date on The Royal Foundation Business Taskforce for Early Childhood report that was published earlier this week.
The report details how investing in early childhood could generate at least £45.5 billion in value added to the UK economy each year.

A Kensington Palace spokesperson said: “Early childhood is a huge priority for the princess and so she has been kept fully updated throughout the development of the Taskforce’s work and she has seen the report.”
