Prince William has hit back at baseless claims about Princess Kate’s health in a new statement.
The Princess of Wales underwent abdominal surgery in January and has since been recovering at Adelaide Cottage.
Since then, various social media accounts have posted insensitive and baseless claims about Kate as she continues to recuperate in private.
The Prince of Wales, 41, has carried out sporadic royal duties, but is primarily taking care of his wife and three children in their Windsor Cottage.

In a statement, William’s spokesperson said: “His focus is on his work and not on social media.”
Kensington Palace originally specified that the Princess of Wales was not expected to return to public duties until after Easter.
However, they have been forced to issue brief statements about her recovery timeline in response to social media rumours.
Kensington Palace reaffirmed Kate’s recovery timeline through a statement: “We were very clear from the outset that the Princess of Wales was out until after Easter and Kensington Palace would only be providing updates when something was significant.”
Kate has only been spotted once since the procedure, sitting in a car driven by her mother, Carole Middleton, on March 4.
The photograph was not published by the UK media as it was unauthorised by Kensington Palace.
Princess Kate is not the only royal taking time out of the spotlight.
Buckingham Palace announced on February 5 that King Charles had been diagnosed with “a form of cancer” and would largely step back from public-facing duties.

He has since been spotted attending church, was photographed during an audience with Rishi Sunak and publicly read cards from well-wishers.
Kate and Charles’s absence from public-facing duties has meant it is largely up to Queen Camilla, 76, and Prince William, 41, to carry out the majority of engagements.
The Queen has stepped in for her husband on numerous occasions in recent weeks.
