Prince Harry has flown out today after his short visit back to the UK – but did not meet dad King Charles or brother Prince William.

The Duke of Sussex was seen walking out of a Range Rover into Heathrow airport late on Thursday. Yesterday, Harry was in central London for a service of thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games. After the event, he met with fans outside as they shouted: “We love you Harry”. Hundreds of people lined the street to try and catch a glimpse of the Duke.

Harry, whose main home is now in the US with Meghan Markle and their children, will will now prepare for his trip to Nigeria with his wife.

On Thursday, his brother William was seen smiling as he smiled as he visited sunny Cornwall for two royal engagements in Newquay and the Isles of Scilly. He began his visit in Newquay at a housing project which will provide 24 homes with wraparound support for homeless people.

Queen Camilla meanwhile met with former TV newsreader Angela Rippon at Buckingham Palace to mark the 90th anniversary of Brooke, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of working horses, donkeys, and mules.

Yesterday, she and King Charles seemed in good spirits as they hosted guests at Buckingham Palace garden party. Fellow working royals also turned out for the afternoon including Princess Anne, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, Edward and Sophie, as well as the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester.

A spokesperson for Harry released a statement earlier this week to confirm the Duke of Sussex would not be meeting with his father during his UK trip. They said: “In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not the duke will meet with his father while in the UK this week, it unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full programme. The duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”

Harry was in London on Wednesday to mark the 10th anniversary of his Invictus Games at St Paul’s Cathedral, as Charles hosted a Buckingham Palace garden party just two miles away. But the King was said to be too busy to see his son, as confirmed in a statement earlier this week that revealed the pair would not meet because the monarch had a busy programme of official duties.

Prince Harry in awkward moment as he gets hassled by fan

Prince Harry appeared to endure a rather awkward interaction with a fan during his trip to London this week, with the Duke left red-faced by the run-in.

The Duke of Sussex has been back in his former country of residence this week for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games. Last night, after a thanksgiving service for the games at St Paul’s Cathedral in the city, the father-of-two was on an impromptu walkabout.

Harry conversed with fans and greeted a group of onlookers who all had their phones out to take snaps of the Duke, with Harry enduring a rather awkward moment.

As Harry greeted each of the bystanders, one woman moved one of two phones that she was holding towards Harry’s face.

In footage from the interaction, as per reports, Harry can be seen touching the woman’s arm before she pulled away. The Duke then exclaimed, sounding shocked: “You’ve got two cameras? How did you end up with two cameras? That doesn’t even make sense!”

Prince William admitted to breaking a royal rule today as he visited a world-famous beach in Cornwall.

The prince, who is also the Duke of Cornwall, paid a visit to Fistral Beach just hours after his estranged brother Prince Harry was in the UK for an appearance at St Paul’s Cathedral for his Invictus Games. During the visit, William said he was desperate to get his wet suit on and get out in the ocean, but stayed suited and booted as he was on official duties.

However, he made one little boy’s day as he secretly signed his plaster cast and told him: “Shhh, don’t tell anyone. I’m not meant to do that!” Phoenix Kanes, nine, cheekily stopped the prince and asked if he would sign the plaster cast on his broken arm.

Prince Harry ‘in tears’ when King Charles announced new honour for Prince William, expert claims

Prince Harry was “in tears” when King Charles announced a new honour for his brother Prince William, claims a royal expert.

The Duke of Sussex returned to the United Kingdom this week for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games. Shortly after touching down in London, it was revealed that King Charles was too busy to meet with his son, despite weeks of speculation that they could be meeting.

And then, just mere hours after it was confirmed that King Charles would not be meeting with Prince Harry, Buckingham Palace announced that the King would hand the Prince of Wales a military honour long thought to be destined for the Duke of Sussex. Prince William is now colonel-in-chief of the Army Air Corp – the regiment Prince Harry served with in Afghanistan.

Royal expert and author Tom Quinn exclusively told The Mirror: “King Charles’ announcement that Prince Harry is being stripped of his role as Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps is a real kick in the teeth for the son who always felt marginalised and underrated.

“What makes it much worse is that the role is being given to the very man who Harry sees as the cause of so many of his problems – his brother. And the announcement was deliberately made during Harry’s brief visit to the UK to have maximum impact – it shows Harry that he really is no longer welcome.”
