Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are set for a “more relaxed and laid-back” upbringing than their royal cousins, a commentator has claimed.
Meghan Markle, 42, and Prince Harry, 39, stepped down as working royals in 2020, meaning that their two children are being raised abroad in California.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex settled in Montecito, Santa Barbara in the summer of 2020, where their daughter Lilibet was born the following year.
Style expert Bella Hignett spoke exclusively to GB News to explain how Archie and Lilibet’s childhood will be “less restraining”, as evidenced by their outfits.

Hignett argues that the Sussex children will not have as “formal” a childhood as Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five.
She exclusively told GB News: “Archie and Lilibet will still have to have a modicum of restraint when dressing.
“But they will be far less formal.
“This will be exacerbated by growing up in California where dress is much more relaxed and laid-back.”
George, Charlotte and Louis’ parents are the Prince and Princess of Wales – the future King and Queen of the United Kingdom.
This means they are expected to appear much more at public Royal Family events.
In comparison, the Duke of Sussex is fifth-in-line to the throne and his children are sixth and seventh respectively.
Hignett added: “The climate and the fact they won’t have to attend as many formal events means the dress code in general will be more casual.”
The King has hardly seen Archie or Lilibet since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved to the US in 2020

Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two, live in Montecito, where the former is currently attending preschool in the Santa Barbara area.
It is not confirmed where the Sussex children will attend school once they turn six years old, which is the age when American children begin their education.
Meghan and Harry are currently protecting the youngsters by keeping them out of the public eye as much as possible.
This comes as George, Charlotte and Louis live in Adelaide Cottage on the royal Windsor estate, and attend a local school named Lambrook School.
