A Pokemon GO player has finally completed a challenge that has taken them 3 years to beat, and they’re taking the time to celebrate.

Pokemon GO has a lot of difficult challenges to complete that revolve around interacting with Pokemon that only will appear for a limited amount of time.

This has resulted in some players spending years trying to complete them if they haven’t already resorted to leaving the challenge behind entirely.

Recently, a fan decided to stick it out and finally finished a challenge after three years, and they’re celebrating it on social media.

Pokemon GO player finishes challenge after three years

In a post on the game’s subreddit, the player says, “it’s been almost 3 years…. the day has finally come.”

The post comes with an image of the game saying they’ve finished the challenge to take a snapshot of Thundurus.

Thundurus is a Legendary Pokemon introduced in Generation V and plays a role in the Season of Legends Special Research.

The response from the community has been complimentary of actually completing it: “Wow way to go! I need this too!!”

Others share the challenges that they still need to complete for the Season of Legends, with just about every other Pokemon in the challenge mentioned.

It is clear that this challenge has stumped a lot of fans in the community with one user saying: “I have been waiting to take a snapshot of him too! One of my most satisfying special researches to complete. I am so glad to clear that out after so long.”
