With the cost of living looming upon Brits, many are looking for ways to squeeze their pockets this month.

Luckily, the financial guru’s site has revealed the best phone providers to protect your pocket.

Depending on how much data and minutes you use, the page shared its top picks to save extra pounds each month.

It recommended fellow money-savers to switch to Lebara as it is offering deals for less than £4.

MSE added: “Get the cheapest 20GB Sim we’ve ever seen – just £3.79 a month.”

For those who don’t need much data and want to pot for a decent service rating, he suggested the 3GB of data and 300 minutes.

It only costs £3.20 a month on a rolling contract for over 12 months – and you can cancel at any time.

But if you need some extra data to scroll on social media, he recommended to go for the Lebara’s 5GB.

Users will have to pay as little as £2 a month for the first six months before splashing £4.90 after that.

There are other options available – including a 15GB data SIM card for £7.90 a month.

How can I find the best mobile phone deal?

The first thing to do is find out what the cheapest deal on the market is.

Sites like MoneySuperMarket and Uswitch all help you customise your search based on price, speed and provider.

If your household is on a low income it’s also worth investigating social tariffs.

These broadband packages and discounts have been created for people who are receiving certain benefits.

They’re often available to those on income support, Universal Credit, or disability allowance.

Around 4.2million households are eligible for these cheaper tariffs but only 55,000 are making use of them.

Voxi and SMARTY both offer these cheaper mobile phone contracts and prices start at just £10 a month.
