National Savings & Investments (NS&I) has drawn two lucky Premium Bond winners in the May draw from Hampshire and Outer London.
ERNIE, NS&I’s prize picker drew Premium Bond number 514CV247038 and the winner resides in Hampshire. The bond holder has £45,000 in Premium Bonds and purchased the winning Bond in September 2022.
The second winner from Outer London holds the bond number 401XE212038. They hold £10,575 in Premium Bonds and their winning bond was purchased back in July 2020. The winner is the eleventh Premium Bond millionaire from Outer London.

While the past month has been a busy one for NS&I with the launch of its long-awaited British Savings Bond, there have been no changes to Premium Bonds. The prize fund rate currently stands at 4.4% which came into effect in March (down from 4.65%), and the odds of winning are still 21,000 to 1 for every Bond.
The jackpot winners will have had a special visit from Agent Million. But with more than 5.8 million prizes drawn in May between £25 and £100,000, it’s worth checking what winnings you hold this month.

How to check if you’re a May NS&I Premium Bond winner
While the £1million jackpot winners receive a visit from Agent Million, Premium Bond holders who win any other cash prizes have to check winnings themselves. There are several ways to do this.
One of the simplest ways to check is to go on the NS&I website and use its NS&I prize checker. Alternatively, you can download NS&I’s official prize checker app on your phone which is available on Android or iOS. For both methods, you will need your NS&I number and Premium Bond Holder number.
If you have an Amazon Alexa, you can also set that up to notify you of your winnings in the latest Premium Bond draw. The good thing about using Alexa is, it can also give you information on any unclaimed Bond prizes you might have since July 1968.
For this, you will need to set up your Alexa by downloading the Alexa app and activating the NS&I Premium Bonds prize checker skill.
According to NS&I, there are currently 63,780 Premium Bond prizes worth £2,104,350 unclaimed in Hampshire, and 222,004 prizes worth £7,746,975 still sitting idle from Outer London.
How will my NS&I prize be paid?
According to NS&I, most prizes are automatically paid into your bank account or reinvested into Premium Bonds. It’s worth checking that your automatic payments are set up on the NS&I website.
