Bruno Fernandes and Mason Greenwood have reacted to Jason Sancho helping Borussia Dortmund reach the Champions League final.
The on-loan Manchester United forward shone for the Bundesliga club against Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals of Europe’s elite competition. Sancho’s performances over two legs helped Dortmund beat PSG 2-0 on aggregate.
Sancho will now be looking to help the German club win their first Champions League title since 1997 in what will be their first European final since 2013. Dortmund will face 14-time winners Real Madrid at Wembley Stadium on June 1 after the Spanish giants beat Bayern Munich 4-3 on aggregate.

And Sancho has reacted on social media in the aftermath of Dortmund’s progress to the European showpiece. “Champions League Final! Wow wow wow, Unbelievable! @bvb09. WEMBLEY HERE WE COME!” He said on Instagram. Both Bruno Fernandes and Mason Greenwood commented on the post with clapping hands emojis.
In February 2023, Fernandes expressed how much he admired Sancho for coming back into the first team fold after experiencing mental health issues that winter. He said: “He’s [Sancho] been really good. As I said to him, it’s great to have him back because we know he is a massive solution for us, as a starter, as someone to come and have great qualities to help the team.
“We all know the capacity that he [Sancho] has. He hasn’t expressed it at his best yet, he’s been at some moments really good.”
The Athletic report that United boss Erik ten Hag has privately been adamant that he offered Sancho as much support as he could throughout the player’s time at Old Trafford. The Dutchman told reporters after Sancho’s performance for Dortmund against PSG last week: “I’m happy for Jadon, for his performance yesterday, and we’ll see what is going to happen in the future.”
