Man who dubbed himself ‘Manc Mark’ caught with £2,000 worth of drugs up his bum

A drug dealer nicknamed ‘Manc Mark’ has been jailed after he was caught with over £2,000 worth of heroin and crack cocaine up his bum.

Police said Liam Smith had been a county lines dealer for a ‘significant’ period of time, splashing his illicit earnings on designer clothes. But he was forced to face justice after intelligence led officers to raid a Cheshire property, where Smith was found with the drugs concealed in his buttocks.

The 36-year-old, from Brynorme Road in Manchester, was sentenced to four years behind bars at Chester Crown Court on Friday (May 3), reports CheshireLive.

He had previously pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. The court heard that at around 12.50pm on Friday, January 26, officers from Northwich Proactive Policing Team forced entry into an address on Brackley Lane, Little Leigh, after a suspected drug dealer was seen entering the property.

ISmith was subsequently found inside the address and when he was searched, officers discovered that he had over £2,000 worth of heroin and crack cocaine concealed in his buttocks. He was arrested and a warrant was conducted at his home where a large quantity of designer clothing was seized.

He was subsequently charged. Following the sentencing, Police Constable Matt Uren, of Northwich Proactive Policing Unit, said: “Northwich Proactive Policing Team are dedicated to disrupting the drug supply network and this is another example of how we are continually pursuing those intent on making money out of other people’s misery.

“Smith’s conviction is the result of a long-running investigation involving detectives here at Northwich, with the support of colleagues from the Op Impact and Op Apollo teams. Intel has suggested that ‘Manc Mark’ had been an active county lines dealer in the Northwich area for a significant period of time, and I have no doubt that his conviction will have a really positive impact on the community.
