The Red Devils will now be able to reset themselves ahead of the run-in over the upcoming international break. Antony starred in Sunday’s win, though new footage has appeared to show him arguing with boss Erik ten Hag.
After the game, Ten Hag admitted that the United winger has been in a “problematic situation” amid his struggles for form. That admission came as Ian Wright raised concerns over Kobbie Mainoo’s exclusion from the England squad.

Ten Hag admits “problematic situation”
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has admitted Antony has faced difficulties this season. The winger was spotted arguing with his manager during the win over Liverpool, though Ten Hag has now defended the Brazilian.
“We had another sub, Antony, who scores an equaliser, he is also in a problematic situation but you see he is fighting as well, he wants to contribute as well,” Ten Hag said. “I’m very happy with the bench today.
“It’s very important for him. He struggled so much. First part, he was not himself, he’s responsible for that. And then he lost confidence, and now he has to fight back. We see through the last two weeks, he’s returning.”

Fernandes issues reality check
Bruno Fernandes has warned his United team-mates they need to win all of their remaining Premier League games to save their season. Though they reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup on Sunday, Fernandes insisted the top four has to be their biggest aim.
“We’ve talked about turnarounds but have never done the next step. But I think we have to understand the FA Cup is a thing and the Premier League is another one. In the league now, we have ten matches to go,” he said.
“We don’t depend on ourselves, but as we saw, Tottenham losing points to Fulham, today Villa losing points to West Ham. But as I said, I want us to look at ourselves because if we don’t win games, there is no point.”

Wright raises Mainoo concerns
Arsenal legend Ian Wright has hit out at Gareth Southgate for exclusing Kobbie Mainoo from his England senior squad. Mainoo starred as United claiming a thrilling win over Liverpool in the FA Cup this Sunday.
That was his 20th appearance of what has been a breakthrough season for the midfielder. But rather then Southgate’s side, Mainoo will be turning out for the Under-21s next week, much to Wright’s frustration.
After the dramatic win over the Reds, Wright posted a video on social media, asking: “How’s Kobbie Mainoo not in that squad? Roy [Keane], how’s Kobbie Mainoo not in that squad? Come on, man. Come on. The man was immense today.”
