Man City star Rodri makes Arsenal Premier League title prediction amid Tottenham verdict

Manchester City star Rodri has delivered a fresh Premier League title prediction with the halfway point of the season being surpassed. After 20 games for most teams, Liverpool currently sit top of the table, followed by Aston Villa, Man City, Arsenal and Tottenham, in that order, with just six points separating the five teams.

The reigning champions and Arsenal have both endured a difficult run of form over the last month which has seen Liverpool and Aston Villa take advantage. The Gunners have lost their last two league games and their worrying run continued last weekend with an FA Cup defeat to Liverpool.

Despite their struggles, Mikel Arteta’s side are still firmly in the hunt for the Premier League title with north London rivals Tottenham also considered to be a team that will be in the fight by Rodri. “The teams we are facing are top teams – Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool and now Aston Villa,” Rodri told City’s official YouTube channel. “They are going to be there for sure, fighting. Most of them deserve to win, others not.

“We have to look to ourselves, see where we can improve and don’t think much about the others. Since the first year I came here, I had the feeling that every year is not enough. You have to increase [the level] and the players coming in have to be even better.

“We have been in front, behind, we know both situations. The most important thing is to keep going ourselves and don’t think too much about who are the contenders with us. Everyone can be there because the level is so high in every game.”

Rodri later gave a verdict on each of these teams, revealing he believes Liverpool and Arsenal are the most likely candidates to challenge City’s domestic dominance. “If you ask me, our real contenders are Liverpool because they have the experience of winning in the last years.
