Magneto, the X-Men character whose awesome powers are balanced out by history’s goofiest helmet, is coming to Fortnite at the mid-season point of Chapter 5 Season 3, Wrecked.
Like Korra, Solid Snake, Geralt of Rivia, and Wolverine from seasons past, the Magneto skin is exclusive to a battle pass purchase. When it arrives, you’ll need to complete a series of challenges to unlock Magneto.
Here’s when you’ll be able to get Magneto in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3.
Magneto skin release date in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3
To get Magneto in Fortnite, you first need to have the Chapter 5 Season 3 battle pass. The skin itself will become available at the mid-season point in July.
According to Fortnite’s in-game calendar, Magneto should release on Tuesday, July 2. However, based on previous mid-season skins, this date can shift a week or so either side based on when developer Epic Games updates the game, meaning we should know the final release date closer to the time. Either way — pencil in early July.
The first known style for Magneto is Wastelander Magneto, which is available in both Fortnite Battle Royale and Lego Fortnite:
