Liverpool are weighing up whether to make a move for Juventus and Italy forward Federico Chiesa
Liverpool have asked about the availability of Italy international forward Federico Chiesa of Juventus. Chiesa is in the final year of his contract at the Serie A side and is understood to be available for around £13million.
The player, who is 27 in October, has fallen out of favour under new Juventus head coach Thiago Motta and failed to make the squad for the team’s first two league games of the season.
Chiesa has played in a variety of attacking positions throughout his career, which started at Fiorentina before spending the last four years at Juventus, but features predominantly on the flanks.

It is understood Chiesa is one of several players the Reds are tracking as they consider whether to strengthen their squad ahead of Friday’s transfer deadline. Any arrival would be to bolster the current senior forward options and not replace an existing one.
Chiesa missed much of 2022 with cruciate ligament damage but made 37 appearances in all competitions for Juventus last season, scoring 10 goals and providing three assists, and played four times for Italy at the European Championships earlier this summer.
Liverpool are already close to completing their first major signing under Arne Slot with Giorgi Mamardashvili having undergone a medical in Spain on Monday.
The Reds have agreed a deal with Valencia worth £30m for the Georgia international goalkeeper, which will see him stay at the La Liga side this season before officially moving to Anfield next summer.
