Fire, police and ambulance have descended on a road in Vauxhall this morning.
A number of emergency service vehicles could be seen on Waterloo Road on Wednesday morning.
The road remained open, with traffic and pedestrians able to travel down it, but a large number of vehicles were present.
The nature of the incident is as yet unknown, but the ECHO has contacted the emergency services to find out more.

Man fell while working on a ventilation shaft
Merseyside Police have confirmed that a man has fallen while working in a ventaliation shaft.
A spokesperson for police said: “We received a report that a man had fallen whilst working on a ventilation shaft on Waterloo Road, Liverpool. The Tunnel is closed whilst Merseyside Fire and Rescue Services and other emergency services are currently at the scene.”

A spokesperson for the fire service said the person is conscious and breathing, and a rescue plan is in place to retrieve them

Merseyside Fire and Rescue have confirmed they are in the process of “rescuing a person from depth”
Fire service personnel are developing a tactical plan alongside the search and rescue team to gain access to and retrieve the casualty.
A multi-agency meeting has taken place and a full closure of the Wallasey Tunnel in both directions has been confirmed by Merseyside Tunnel Police. This is to enable a coordinated rescue by Fire Service personnel to retrieve the casualty and convey them into the care of NWAS.
