There is a large police scene tonight at a block of flats in Whalley Range. Two Crime Scene Investigation vans are outside a building on Withington Road tonight.
Police officers have a cordon in place and the entrance to the building is taped off.
Witnesses told the Manchester Evening News that blood was clearly visible at the entrance to the flats.
The MEN understands that a man was stabbed at the property earlier today.
