RANGERS have a number of players out on loan across the men’s, women’s and Academy sides at present and here’s our review of how each of those fared over the weekend.

Ianis Hagi – Alaves

Ianis appeared as a second half substitute as Alaves fell to a 3-1 defeat to Barcelona in La Liga on Saturday evening.

The Romanian made his first appearance in five games as he featured for the final 13 minutes of the contest.

The Spanish side will be looking to bounce back this weekend as they host Villarreal with the midfielder targeting further minutes on the pitch.

Sam Lammers – FC Utrecht

Sam started for the fourth match running as FC Utrecht picked up their first victory in seven as they ran out 4-2 winners over FC Volendam.

The Dutchman picked up his second assist in two games with the forward continuing to settle into life in the Eredivisie.

His side host Fortuna Sittard this Sunday afternoon as they target back to back league victories.

Arron Lyall – Airdrie

Arron was ineligible to feature as Airdrie booked their place in the final of the SPFL Trust Trophy on Friday evening with a 1-0 win over Raith Rovers.

His team are next in action this weekend in the Scottish Cup as they take on Premiership side Hearts

Jack Harkness – Greenock Morton

The right-back is continuing to edge ever closer to a return to action after making a recovery from injury.

Morton continued their impressive form with a 5-0 away win over Dunfermline in the Championship as they next host Motherwell this Friday evening in Scottish Cup action.

Jay Hogarth – Dumbarton

Jay made his fourth start since heading out on loan as Dumbarton fell to a 1-0 loss away to Stenhousemuir.

The Sons currently occupy fourth place in League Two, hosting Forfar in their next clash this weekend looking to bounce back from the narrow defeat

Lewis Budinauckas – Stranraer

The goalkeeper started for the League Two side once again as they played out a goalless draw with Bonnyrigg Rose on Saturday afternoon.

The shot stopper helped himself to a clean sheet in the contest and has been a mainstay between the posts this season as he continues to gain valuable experience whilst on loan.

Jacob Pazikas – Civil Service Strollers

Jacob once again started between the posts as Civil Service Strollers progressed in the Lowland League Cup.

His side ran out 4-2 winners over Albion Rovers as they booked their place in the next round.

Kristian Webster – Cumbernauld Colts

The defender started the game as Cumbernauld Colts progressed in the South Challenge Cup on penalties against Rutherglen Glencairn after a goalless draw.

His side are again in cup action later this evening, as they host Edinburgh University in the first round of the Lowland League Cup.

Megan Bell – Hearts

Megan was not involved in the squad having been cup-tied for Hearts’ emphatic 10-0 Scottish Cup victory over East Fife.

The Northern Ireland international will also be ineligible to feature tomorrow evening as the Edinburgh side take on her parent club with the midfielder targeting a return to the pitch this weekend against Aberdeen.

Jenna Ferguson – Partick Thistle

Jenna started and played the entirety of the contest as Partick Thistle progressed in the Scottish Cup.

The Jags continued their impressive domestic form with a 3-1 win over Queen’s Park to book their place in the quarter-finals, they will take on Hearts for a place in the last four.

Megan Cunningham – Partick Thistle

Megan was part of the squad that sealed their last eight place as they look for a strong run in the second cup competition of the season.

The goalkeeper will be looking for a recall to the starting lineup as they return to league action in midweek as they travel to take on Spartans.

Kayla Jardine – Motherwell

Kayla was not involved in action over the weekend with Motherwell not part of the Scottish Cup fixtures.

They are next in action tomorrow evening as they make their return to league duties.

Laura Berry – Motherwell

Laura has yet to make an appearance for her side having joined on loan until the end of the season in the latter stages of the transfer window.

She has been recently representing her country at Under-17 level and will be hopeful of minutes for her new club in the coming weeks.

Summer Laird – Spartans

Summer was handed a start as Spartans sealed Scottish Cup progression with a 2-1 win over fellow SWPL side Aberdeen at Ainslie Park.

They return to the pitch tomorrow evening as they host Partick Thistle in league action with the young defender hopeful of further minutes.

Mason Clark – Hamilton Academical

Mason started and played the entirety of the contest as Hamilton exited the Scottish Cup.

They are next in action tomorrow evening as they take on last season’s champions Glasgow City in the SWPL.

Rebecca Taylor – Hamilton Academical

Rebecca was once again part of the starting side that fell to the defeat having made her return to the pitch last weekend where she provided the assist for the final goal of the game.

The midfielder will be hopeful of further minutes with two league matches to come over the next six days.

Lucy Inman – Queen’s Park

The goalkeeper was part of the Queen’s Park squad that fell to defeat in the Scottish Cup with a 3-1 loss to Partick Thistle.

They take on Stirling University in SWPL 2 this weekend as they make their return to league action.

Lucy has been recalled by the club on an seven day emergency loan.
