She is returning to EastEnders after a five-year break.
And Jacqueline Jossa was pictured filming some explosive opening scenes for the first time on Sunday.
The images show Lauren Branning trying to head back to Albert Square after some time away, but she is stopped and searched by the police at the airport.
After a sniffer dog smells out a suspicious package, things take a dramatic turn for the worst as she is then arrested.
The pictures see Lauren being handcuffed behind her back, but by the look on her face, she refuses to be go quietly or in any calm manner.
Jacqueline briefly reprised her role as Lauren for a single episode in June and again last December.
The actress, 30, will return to Walford alongside her onscreen cousin Penny Branning, played by Kitty Castledine.
Speaking in an interview last month, Jacqueline revealed she would be back for a more permanent stint and was set to start filming.
She told The Sun On Sunday: ‘I’m really excited. It’s such an amazing time to be back as there is so much buzz around EastEnders at the moment. I’ve been watching and loving it like a fan.
‘Walford holds a special place in my heart, so it really does feel like coming home.’
Sources previously hinted that Jacqueline will embroiled in an explosive storyline, as Lauren clashes with Cindy Beale, who returned to Walford earlier this month.
An insider added: ‘Bosses are staying tight-lipped about when fans will see her return on-screen.
‘But it’s set to be around the end of the year and likely to coincide with the soap’s legendary festive storylines.
‘Her old cast mates can’t wait to start filming with her too as she’s such a pro and has a great sense of humour.’
EastEnders’ executive producer Chris Clenshaw also hinted that Lauren’s return will help bring back some of the family drama the soap is best known for.
Jacqueline was just 17 when she joined EastEnders in 2010, and was at the centre of shocking storylines that included Lauren’s battles with alcoholism, and a brush with death in 2017.
Since leaving in 2018, she has appeared on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! where she was crowned Queen Of The Jungle, and landed a £1million deal with In The Style.
