ITV’s popular thriller Trigger Point returned on Sunday night for its second series starring Line of Duty’s Vicky McClure.
The actress returned as police bomb disposal offier Lana Washington, alongside returning cast Nabil Elouahabi as Hass, Eric Shango as Danny, Mark Stanley as DI Thom Youngblood, Kerry Godliman as Sonya Reeves, Kris Hitchen as John and Kevin Eldon as Jeff.
Fans were quick to praise the first episode of the new series on Twitter/x, with some claiming their ‘heart was racing’ during the suspenseful episode. However, not all fans were happy, with many making the same complaint minutes into the show.

Some viewers claimed they ‘couldn’t hear’ the dialog, and took to social media to share their frustration. Many were left asking “what did she say?”
One Tweet read: “Trigger Point great programme but with background noise and indistinct diction very hard to hear.”
A second fan said: “Anyone else having to turn up the volume to hear what’s happening? It makes you jump in the ads. #triggerpoint.”
A third tweet read: “Volume up…..volume down……what did she say?! #triggerpoint.”
A fourth fan complained: “Why the loud background noise/music over dialogue #TriggerPoint.”
