A Hollywood star has been ‘revealed’ as Air Fryer on The Masked Singer as the judges were left speechless by the star’s talented vocals
The Masked Singer have rumbled Air Fryer as a Hollywood star from one of the biggest movies of the last few years.
Fans are convinced Air Fryer is actually Keala Settle, who is best known for her appearance alongside Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron and Zendaya in The Greatest Showman. Keala rose to fame when she starred as the bearded lady in the hit movie musical, with fans convinced it must be her hiding behind the Air Fryer mask.
Tonight, she sang Defying Gravity, with the judges left speechless by her voice. The clue she gave tonight was ‘Sister Act’, and Keala has appeared in the London version of the musical recently.
One wrote: “Air fryer has to be Keala Settle #MaskedSingerUK,” whilst a second added: “Keala Settle’s first theatre production was in Hairspray as Tracy, who in the show was in a competition to be the new dancer on the Corney Collins Show. Sister Act was the picture clue? Well that has confirmed it for me! It is Keala Settle! #maskedsingeruk.”
A third wrote: “100% Keala Settle. Desert clue she was in Priscilla Queen of the desert and she was in Sister Act. #maskedsingeruk,” with a fourth sharing: “The clue: Sister Act. Keala Settle played Sister Mary in the west end. It HAS to be her. #maskedsingeruk.”
Keala previously explained her stint in Sister Act would be her last ever musical. She said: “It’s my last one. I will never do musical theatre again,” and explaining how she felt about being on stage during a recent performance, she added: “I took my bow with my face in my hands because I was so scared they would see my face.
“Everyone was trying to love me with their energy and I was like, ‘Get back!’ I did not want to be in the frontline, ever. My mother wanted that, not me. I’ve done so many things for so many other people. For me, I just want to bake bread and walk my dog.”
Tonight, Air Fryer sang Defying Gravity from Wicked, and Keala is set to star in the two part movie musical as Miss Coddle.
