A woman has revealed how she managed to drop an incredible five dress sizes – by eating pizza, pancakes and ready meals.
Linzi Hunter went from a size 24 to a 14 by eating all her favourite foods while taking daily strolls around a local nature reserve.
Having always struggled with her weight, the 60-year-old, from Manchester, had tried several diets over the years and even had her stomach stapled in a bid to shed pounds.

But when she became a prisoner in her own home due to poor health and mobility issues, Linzi knew she had to make a change.
By cutting her calorie intake, Linzi, who was classed as morbidly obese, watched as the pounds fell off – but she found her diet plan boring and restrictive.
With the aim of becoming more active, she turned to diet and fitness programme Goal Plans powered by MuscleFood to help her become more active.
When she started her plan just six months ago, Linzi weighed in at just over 15st. Now, she tips the scales at 11.5st – almost the lightest she’s ever been.
Linzi has lost 11 inches from her waist, five from her hips and another four inches from her chest – going from being stuck at home to walking laps around her local nature reserve.
“I’ve always struggled with my weight and over the years have tried just about every fad diet going,” she said. “When I was 21 I had my stomach stapled and lost a huge amount of weight.
“I stayed around that weight for years, but in the space of four years lost both my parents and husband. That’s when the weight really started to pile on. I didn’t massively over eat but was eating all the wrong things.
“It was like I was in self-destruct mode and didn’t know how to stop. I became a hermit – I never left the house, ordered everything and didn’t want to go out or see anyone.
“My health was terrible – I’d suffered a couple of heart attacks and a minor stroke. Although I wasn’t told directly that my weight was causing me these problems, I knew it was playing a role.
“Then towards the end of last year I was walking up the stairs, was completely out of breath by the time I reached the top and realised I was killing myself.
“I started to restrict what I was eating and although the weight began to come off, it was too slow and I was depriving myself of foods I love.”
It was then that Linzi heard about Goal Plans powered by MuscleFood where she could lose weight without depriving herself of the foods she loves.
Linzi added: “The plan gives me three meals a day, three snacks and it’s real food. There are no faddy shakes or cardboard tasting food – this is really tasty.
“The food is delicious and so easy to prepare. It’s delivered to my door, I can keep in the fridge or freeze and simply cook when I’m ready.
“It’s really filling too – I don’t have to add anything to the meals and I certainly don’t feel like I’m missing out on foods I enjoy.
“Some days I’ll have protein pancakes with a tropical fruit pot for breakfast, protein Goats Cheese pizza for lunch then a tasty paella for dinner. That’s not your usual kind of diet food but it works.”
Linzi began to get more active to help her weight loss and says this was a real turning point for her.
Linzi continued: “At the same time I switched to this plan, I started walking. In the past I’d done lengthy hikes across the Yorkshire Moors, and with a nature reserve close to home, found this the ideal place to start to become more active.
“The first time I walked to the entrance, the next time I did a lap and kept adding laps on. I now walk twice a day, covering around 5km each time.
“The more I walk and the more weight I lose, the better I feel. Mentally I’m in a much better place and physically I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been.
“For anyone else struggling to lose weight and being unsure where to start, my advice is that if I can do it, anyone can.
“Take that first step by changing your diet then start moving. That could be a short walk or lifting a tin of beans. Whatever works for you. Once you get started, you’ll be on your way to a better version of you.”
