The company never stopped making phones, but as Apple and Samsung began dominating the global stage, Motorola fell into the background.

As smartphones go, Motorola’s new Moto G04 phone is a bargain.

Apple unveiled it’s most expensive smartphone lineup last year with the iPhone 15 at $799/£799, the iPhone 15 Pro ($999 / £999) and iPhone 15 Pro Max ($1,199 / £1,199).

Similarly, Samsung prices its newest Galaxy S24 device at $799/£799 for the 128GB handset, and the 1TB device at a whopping $1659/£1549.

For a fraction of the cost, the Moto G04 boasts a 6.6″ HD+ display, with a screen that includes 90Hz technology – meanwhile the iPhone 15 can only has 60Hz.

This means smooth and highly detailed graphics while scrolling through social media, playing games or streaming.

The Android handset has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner – a feature iPhone owner sorely miss.

A dual-lens camera can snap DSLR-style Portrait images, which comes alongside a feature that can retouch your selfies automatically.

Similarly to iPhones and Samsung devices, the Moto G04 has a high brightness mode and night light mode which adapts the screen depending on your surroundings.

Dolby Atmos technology is built into the device for great on-the-go sound while streaming.

Motorola is also promising faster app loading thanks to its octa-core processor.

Although it’s important to note: the Moto G04 has a splashproof design, meaning it is not not fully water resistant.

It will be available in colours including Concord Black, Sea Green, Satin Blue and Sunrise Orange.
