That was up by £200,000 on the previous 12 months, with the latest documents covering the year to April 2023.

Another firm he owned with his BBC food show co-star Si King — Hairy Bikers Television — is worth nearly £100,000, papers filed to Companies House in December show.

Dave died aged 66 last Wednesday after a two-year battle with an undisclosed form of cancer. The former make-up artist met Si — then an assistant director — working on a drama.

In an emotional tribute to his pal of almost 30 years, Si said: “My best friend is on a journey that, for now, I can’t follow.

“I will miss him every day and the bond and friendship we shared over half a lifetime.

“I wish you God’s speed, brother. You are and will remain a beacon in this world. See you on the other side.” He added: “Love ya.”

Dave’s widow Liliana, 57, who he met while filming an episode of Hairy Bikers in Romania, was by his side when he died at home, as was Si, also 57.

Liliana wrote on Facebook: “Rest in peace, my love. My wonderful, brave man! Till next time we meet!”
