“Gen V” Won’t Recast Chance Perdomo

In late March came the shock news that 27-year-old actor Chance Perdomo had died in a motorcycle accident.

Perdomo was a regular on “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” and more recently stared at magnetism manipulating Andre Anderson in “The Boys” spin-off series “Gen V”.

That show was around a week away from the start of production when the news came of Perdomo’s death, so filming on the new run was understandably delayed.

As his character was effectively the second biggest role in the series, it meant the producers would either massively overhaul the new season and redo all scripts to write the character off, or recast the role.

Now, in a statement issued on social media today, the show’s production team confirm they will not recast the role because “no one can replace Chance.”

They continue: “Instead, we have been taking the time and space to recraft our Season 2 storylines as we begin production in May. We will honor Chance and his legacy this season.”

The first season finale saw the character imprisoned in a high-security facility.
