five of the wildest gadgets I saw at major tech show

A MAJOR tech show revealed some mind-boggling gadgets this week including a transparent laptop and a bendy phone that wraps around your wrist.

The big players were showing off their latest gizmos at the annual Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona, which The Sun attended.

Would you buy a bendy phone?

Here are five of the weird and wonderful tech innovations we saw.

A see-through laptop

Lenovo showed off a laptop with a transparent display at MWC this year.

The ThinkBook machine works like any other Windows PC except you can quite literally see through it.

“Project Crystal” as it’s been dubbed is still just a concept for the moment.

The prototype works by squeezing a load of micro LEDs between clear glass.

In a demo, the company showed how it could be used to help people draw or design objects, a bit like tracing paper – though for most of us it’s probably not all that useful.

Bendy smartphones

Motorola featured a flexible smartphone that can wrap around your wrist as a garment at the event.

You can even match it to a dress by taking a photo so the display looks exactly the same.

It has a woven fabric backing and shows a clock on the screen so the device looks like a futuristic watch.

Robot dog

A robotic “German shepherd” dog won the hearts of attendees this year.

The Tecno Dynamic 1 can move at speeds of up to 8.2mph and can even climb stairs.

It uses AI to recognise your voice and respond to commands.

Barbie phone

Barbie fever has reached the tech world with an announcement that an official phone based on the popular toy is launching.

HMD – which makes Nokia-branded smartphones – didn’t reveal the pink flip phone at the event.

But the company did say the handset will be released in the summer.

A physical keyboard for your iPhone

One gadget you can get right now is the Clicks keyboard case for your iPhone.

The accessory gives your device the comfort of physical buttons, much like the old BlackBerry.

It’s available for the 14 and 15 Pro now in “BumbleBee” yellow and “London Sky” grey – Pro Max versions are launching from the end of May.
