Manchester United could be without a host of players for their FA Cup tie against Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night and have received mixed news on the fitness front heading into the game.
Casemiro has been passed fit to play at the City Ground, in a positive update coming from Erik ten Hag. The former Real Madrid powerhouse, 32, had to be taken off during the club’s Premier League defeat against Fulham on Saturday afternoon. His withdrawal came following a clash of heads.
United were also missing Rasmus Hojlund (muscular) as the Dane prepares to sit out the next two to three weeks with an issue he picked up in training. United have been hit harder than most when it comes to injuries this season and Ten Hag will, once again, not have several first-team squad members at his disposal at Forest on Wednesday night (7.45pm).

It’s the January transfer window once again, but despite United’s indifferent start to the season, it remains to be seen whether they’ll be able to bring any new players to Old Trafford this month. While the emphasis this January is on outgoings, with several players set to be sold or loaned out, there remains a possibility of a loan signing or two before February arrives.
