Welcome to our live blog of the Carabao Cup semi-final draw.
Liverpool will aim to complete the final line-up for the last four by defeating West Ham United this evening. The game at Anfield will decide the fourth and final team to be added to the draw, following Tuesday night’s quarter-final ties.
Fulham advanced to the semi-finals courtesy of a penalty shoot-out victory over Everton at Goodison Park. Similarly, Chelsea scored a late equaliser and required penalties to eliminate Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge.
There was also an all-EFL clash as Middlesbrough earned a 3-0 win at League One club Port Vale. The three Premier League teams will view Michael Carrick’s Championship side as their easiest path to a Wembley final.
The draw for the semi-finals takes place after Liverpool’s tie with West Ham. It is expected to begin at around 10pm. The first legs of the semi-final games will take place in the week commencing January 8, with the return fixtures being held on the week commencing January 22.
