Calvin Harris ‘set to sign megabucks deal for Las Vegas residency where he’ll be paid £1.2m PER NIGHT’

Calvin Harris is reportedly set to sign a megabucks deal for a new mini Las Vegas residency.

The DJ, 40, will perform at The Fontainebleau’s LIV club with a massive pay check of £1.2million per night.

A source told The Sun: ‘Calvin is a legend on the strip and he’s helped make Las Vegas clubs the place to be.

‘LIV are booking him in for six huge headline slots and are trying to negotiate more.

‘Calvin signing up with them is an absolute coup and the plan is to put his first big night on the weekend the Super Bowl comes to town on February 11.’

MailOnline has contacted Calvin’s representatives for comment.

The Scottish hitmaker is no stranger to Sin City as he previously had a residency at Caesar’s Palace.

However, Calvin previously admitted he didn’t enjoy the high-paying deal as he found it stifled his creativity.

He told The Sun: ‘I was there at least every week, playing. It got to the point where I was there a little too much. I got tired of it.

Asked if it effected his songwriting, he said: ‘One million per cent. It was unreal. No tunes were being made.

‘I didn’t make any tunes for a year or maybe a year and a half.’

Calvin rang in his 40th birthday on Wednesday by sharing a shirtless selfie on social media.

The DJ, who is currently away in a mystery sun-soaked location, was met with a slew of comments as fans claimed he was ‘ageing like fine wine.’

Lounging back, he flashed a smile for the camera, tagged his location as ’40s’ and captioned the update: ‘Cheers everyone!’

One follower wrote: ‘Ageing like fine wine! Happy birthday,’ with another adding: ‘Happy birthday Sir Harris! Ageing like fine wine.’

A third shared: ‘Can’t believe you are 40. Look nowhere near it. happy birthday to the best.’

Someone else commented: ‘Happy day of birth ! Aged like a fiiiiiine wiiiiine.’

Calvin looked worlds away from when he first started out in the industry.

The Ready For The Weekend hitmaker, who is the highest paid DJ in the world, has invested in his personal appearance over the years.

Back in 2007, as he released his debut album I Created Disco, Dumfries-born Calvin – whose real name is Adam Wiles – was a pale and scruffy brunette who favoured a battered leather jacket, hooded tops and loose jeans.

But roll on a few years and the award-winning producer, who is signed to music company Three Six Zero, ditched the hair dye, hired a stylist and started working out. A lot.

Living in LA seems to have helped: ‘The food is fantastic over here. You can eat healthily, there’s a lot more healthy options than in the UK — that’s a fact,’ he said when he moved there in 2012.

His daily routine now involves eggs for breakfast (‘egg-white omelette with smoked salmon and spinach for protein, fibre and omega-3’) and a trip to the gym before hitting the studio.
