British expat found ‘hacked to death with organs left next to her passport’ by butcher boyfriend

A woman was discovered “hacked to death with organs left next to her passport” by her chef boyfriend in Slovakia.

Her nationality has not been confirmed but a British passport was placed on her lifeless body after the murder.

The 48-year-old victim’s remains were discovered in the apartment that she shared with Jozef Hanuska, her boyfriend.

Hanuska, 47, has been charged with the murder of the woman, known to locals as Patricia.

Police discovered the supposed British expat naked with her chest cut “open” on the bed in Bratislava.

Her alleged killer, who is facing life in jail, placed a British passport on top of her corpse which he had covered with a sheet.

In the same room, officers found a bucket containing her intestines and other organs.

Her heart was located nearby on the floor, according to local media.

Neighbours said the chef and Patricia could often be heard shouting, with one saying they heard Hanuska threatening to “rip her head off”.

Another neighbour, well-known Slovak actress Bibiana Ondrejková, said: “I didn’t know them personally, but I knew about them.

“I knew that these were people who had a problem with alcohol and that there were frequent arguments between them.”

Another questioned: “Was he planning to eat them? Why take them out and put them in a bucket?”

A third said: “He was vulgar. Patricia often apologised for his behaviour and said they had ‘an Italian household’.

“We could often hear her shouting at him not to scream at her.”

Hansuka went on the run but was arrested by police after her was found hiding in a cellar.

According to broadcaster Noviny, Hanuska is the son of a double murderer Štefan Pantl, dubbed the Bratislava Strangler.

He was executed in 1979 by capital punishment, which was abolished later in 1990.

The chef is understood to be a trained butcher who later trained to become a private chef.

A website, which states his services, read: “Cooking delicious classic dishes, sometimes even in a modern version, is my speciality. I cook wherever there is food. Yes, you read that right. I’m a cook for the carriage, but also for the wagon. Wherever I’m called, I’m happy to come and cook delicious classics that I know but also in a modern way.”
