Firefighters have descended on a street in Northumberland after a blaze broke out at a pub.
Fire crews were sent to The Castle pub on Woodhorn Road in Ashington on Monday evening after a fire broke out. People are being urged to avoid the area and a road closure is in place.
Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service sent five appliances and an aerial ladder platform, alongside other agencies. A second aerial ladder platform was also sent to the street.
Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service and Northumbria Police have been contacted for comment.
