Alison Hammond says ‘my poor baby’ as son hospitalised over nasty health condition

This Morning presenter Alison Hammond told her teenage son Aidan ‘poor baby’ after he had to get his tonsils removed.

Aidan, 19, took to his Instagram page to share a series of pictures from his hospital visit. One photo had him folding his arms across his chest as he posed for a photo in a hospital gown. He also shared a few hilarious clips of him talking to his mum and the nurses while ‘high as a kite’ from the anaesthesia.

One video had him looking discombobulated as he tried to take a sip of a drink before turning to Alison with a surprise and saying: “Hello!” Another had him looking around while nurses shifted things around as he lay down on the hospital bed. “Just relax,” Alison said to which Aidan responded enthusiastically: “I am relaxed!”

For The Love Of Dogs presenter Alison zoomed in on Aidan in one video as he closed his eyes and hummed. He captioned the post: “Aidan 1 – tonsils 0 and Me high as a [kite emoji].” Alison quickly took to the comment sections to write: “Poor baby,” with a heart eyes emoji.

Friends and fans took to the comment section to share their support as they laughed at the clips. Frankie Bridge wrote: “Amazing” while another user posted: “Don’t know whether to laugh or cry, a bit of both!! Sending love.” Amy Childs added: “So funny [laughing emojis] get well soon Aidan.”

“Best video I’ve seen on the Internet today,” one said while Josie Gibson simply added laughing emojis. Another fan added: “Oh he’s highhhhh. Ahhh get well soon aiden!!! Big love to you Al.” Alison recently opened up about her living arrangements with her son Aidan.

The star said she makes him pay £40 every month to ensure he ‘pays his way’ despite her being a multi-millionaire. Speaking on This Morning, Alison said: “I’m going into a new phase of life guys where, wait for it… my son is paying rent.”

“I’m really enjoying it!” Alison added. “He’s got to earn his keep,” she insisted. Sharing her own experience, Alison said charging Aidan a modest amount was ‘teaching him’ that nothing in life comes for free. “He’s getting a good deal! I’m in my new house,” she added. He gives the money to her in cash and she uses it to get beauty treatments.
