Aaron Carter’s son, two, SUES singer’s doctors and pharmacies for wrongful death nearly a year after he accidentally drowned in bathtub after taking sedatives

A wrongful death lawsuit has been filed on behalf of Aaron Carter’s two-year-old son, Princeton lyric Carter, nearly one year after the singer was found dead in a bathtub in his California home.

The lawsuit alleges that the doctors and pharmacies played a role in the Fool’s Gold star’s demise by improperly prescribing and dispensing medications that affected his judgment and mental health.

According to the legal document obtained by TMZ, doctors allegedly prescribed Hydrocodone, Oxycodone and Alprazolam without any kind of medical justification.

The suit also claims that the medications, combined with Carter’s known mental health history and psychiatric condition, had a detrimental impact on his wellbeing, leading to his death.

The legal action specifically names Walgreens, among others, as a defendant.

Lawsuit: A wrongful death lawsuit has been filed on behalf of Aaron Carter’s two-year-old son, Princeton lyric Carter, nearly one year after the singer was found dead in a bathtub in his California home

Carter, 34, was found dead dead in a bathtub inside his home in Lancaster, California by his housekeeper on November 5, 2022.

The cause of death was later attributed to drowning after inhaling compressed difluoroethane, also known as huffing, and ingesting alprazolam, which is sold under the brand name Xanax.

An autopsy revealed Carter was ‘incapacitated while in the bathtub after he ‘slipped under the water’ and drowned due to the effects’ of the substances, according to officials.

Melanie Martin, Princeton’s mother, has taken legal action by filing the lawsuit on behalf of their son.

The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages.

The late singer’s mother Jane Carter shared images of the bathtub and home in a bid to bring more attention to the probe of his passing.

Carter said she didn’t believe that her son’s death was the result of a drug overdose, but rather foul play, in sharing the images of the home taken the day of her son’s death.

She and Marton had been urging officers to investigate an alleged drug deal he made on the night that he died as they believe it could have led him to overdose.

Family weighs in: Carter’s fiancée  Melanie Martin, pictured, has submitted text messages concerning a suspected drug deal from Carter’s phone to the Los Angeles Police Department

In an interview with TMZ, Martin said she had found text messages on Carter’s phone from a man demanding $800 for an unknown substance.

Carter, who did rehab stints in 2011 and 2017, reportedly replied to the man claiming he no longer needed the substance, to which the man responded it didn’t matter as he still owed the money.

He then asked if he was being threatened, which is where the messages end.

Martin has submitted the text exchange to the Los Angeles Police Department as evidence.

The bereaved influencer, who recently gained custody of the one-year-old son she shares with Carter, cryptically accused Instagram user @momoh of having ‘gangsters give Aaron supplies’ via Instastory on Monday night.

Both Martin and Carter’s mother revealed the LA County Coroner’s Office had told them no water was found in the star’s lungs meaning he could not have drowned.

Their claims echo the way Carter’s older sister, Leslie, died following a drug overdose in 2012, when she was just 25 years old.

The singer’s ashes at were interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills.

Officers were called to Carter’s home at 10.58am on the day he died, in response to a 911 call.

Investigators believe his body was in the tub for a long time as there was a smell of decomposition and the water had turned an unnatural color.

The jets in the tub were still running and law enforcement also found multiple cans of compressed air, as well as prescription pills, in Carter’s bathroom and bedroom.

His death certificate, released in November, indicated an autopsy was performed before his body was cremated.

However a cause of death was deferred at the time.
