Welcome to 24 Hours With, the series that takes you inside the daily lives of celebrities, tastemakers, founders, and experts. From the moment they wake up until their head hits the pillow at night, read on to learn their daily beauty rituals, go-to meals, and favorite ways to unwind. First up, Euphoria actor and Mugler ambassador Hunter Schafer.

12:00 p.m. I don’t set an alarm on my days off. When I am working, I set alarms 35 minutes apart and get to the very end of the series before I really wake up. On days when I don’t need to get up, I’ll sleep in till at least noon, and then spend another hour in bed on my phone, or checking in with my friends to see what might be ahead of us the rest of the day.

1:00 p.m. Once I get out of bed, my routine in the morning is pretty simple: I just take a shower and [use] moisturizer. On my day off, I’m not wearing very much makeup, but I always apply SPF. I’ve had too many people with amazing skin tell me how important SPF is. I’ll always throw on a fragrance—I love Mugler Angel Elixir eau de parfum. I love spritzing it on my wrist; it’s so chic, cute, and girly. Or I’ll just use the Mugler Angel Perfuming body lotion after my shower. The fragrance is super long-lasting, so it’ll keep me smelling amazing for the whole day. Plus, if I use the lotion, it’s like doubling up on the scent.

I don’t love exercising. I haven’t worked out in like three months. I usually go see a trainer because it’s the only way I can get it done. My workouts go in waves, though. If I’m doing a movie, for example, I’ll pause. Then, I’ll ride the wave a little longer and not see my trainer for two months.

1:30 p.m. I don’t cook, so I usually put an order in for a breakfast burrito. Lazy Daisy in Los Angeles is my favorite, although there are so many good breakfast burritos in New York and L.A. Breakfast burritos are really solid, because I like to start big and fuel myself for the day. At that time, it’s also lunch, so I sometimes will meet up with friends for a meal. We might brunch it. I’m always trying different restaurants in New York. My friends and I will sift through hundreds of different options before finding something, but it usually ends up being Tompkins Square Bagels. A bagel is always a must-eat when I’m in New York, because there is only one decent bagel place in L.A. I recently have been off coffee. I used to be a really serious coffee drinker—like, five or six cups a day. Instead, I need a Coca-Cola with my meal. If the circumstances are right and I’m able to get there, I’m going to a drive-thru for my Coke. It always hits better, particularly at the McDonald’s.

2:00 p.m. When I get dressed for a day off, I try and put in as little thought as possible. That means jeans, a T-shirt, and boots. I’m a boot girl. Even if it’s hot, I don’t care. It’s for fashion. I love being outside [in New York], so I’m definitely walking everywhere. I always try and see art when in New York, and I have some amazing artist friends. There’s always a gallery to see here. One that I recently went to that I loved was an installation; there were barber chairs that were deconstructed and reconstructed in interesting ways, all moving up and down.

4:00 p.m. I usually need a pick-me-up during the afternoon slump. There are so many good snack places here. I rely on sugar for my pick-me-ups, specifically bubble tea or a red bean pastry from a shop in Chinatown. I know that’s not super healthy by any means, but it’s what works and it’s fast. Plus, there’s little treats everywhere in New York City.

4:30 p.m. I love to shop in New York. Clothes are my vice, generally in life. I just bought a home, so I’m trying to learn more about furniture and lean into that. I went from an apartment to [a house], so I’m scoring for every type of furniture right now. New York is one of the best cities for design inspiration. Up until now, putting a home together has leaned into a college dorm mentality, where I’m taping things to the wall and have stuffed animals.

6:00 p.m. I’ll go back to my hotel to make a pit stop before dinner. I usually have my hair in a bun, so I’ll just keep it as is. I’m growing hair back, so I’m just getting used to the feeling again of having it on my body. But in New York while I’m running around, it’s going up.

9:00 p.m. I love a late (and long) dinner. Again, I will spend hours searching for the best place to eat. Then, I’ll go through the roster of which of my friends are in town and who can come to dinner. A big chunk of my friends live in New York compared to Los Angeles. Then, they bring friends and it becomes one big community. When I see my friends, they are always asking for products or a bottle of fragrance. I got my mom hooked on [Mugler] Angel.

11:00 p.m. I’m likely still in my T-shirt, jeans, and boots–even if I’m going out after dinner. If I’m at a rave, I can bounce around, and I can’t do that in a tight dress. I love Basement [in Queens]. I went there for the first time a couple of months ago, and it was sick. It’s the closest thing to a Berlin [nightclub] in New York.

1:00 a.m. If I can get in and out and the shower after a night out, then that’s a win in my book. Then, my head hits the pillow. I always end the night with a movie or TV show. At home, I have a projector—I don’t have a television. It’s kind of fun and I love it; otherwise, I would get a TV. I can only watch it when it’s dark out, so I usually save watching TV or a movie until late at night. I have to fall asleep to noise, so even when I’m not at home, I’ll have something on [in the] background. I keep a running list of movie and TV shows to have it ready to go. I’ve been on a big sci-fi binge lately. I just watched Edge of Tomorrow and District 9. I rewatched Arrival, which I love.
